Financial Inclusion Week was launched under the patronage of the Central Bank of Iraq and was organized by the Iraqi Private Banks League, with support from the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), and hosted at Al-Turath University.
During the event, 42 banks and electronic payment companies participated, offering students free account openings and electronic payment cards while showcasing available banking and digital payment services.
This initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to promote financial inclusion, expand banking awareness among youth, and support their integration into the financial system. The event is one of several taking place across Iraq’s provinces throughout the week.
