The Iraqi Private Banks League (IPBL) has concluded a specialized training program aimed at enhancing professional competencies, implemented with the support and funding of the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The program comprised five training courses attended by more than 150 participants from the banking sector in Baghdad and Erbil. It focused on key areas aligned with rapid financial developments, including small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) finance, digital payments, banking technologies, and customer service.
The program reflects the League’s vision of investing in human capital as one of the main drivers for developing the banking sector, Ali Tariq, Executive Director of the IPBL, said during the closing ceremony. He praised the cooperation and coordination with GIZ in supporting the banking sector and commended the trainers for their contribution to the program’s success.
The League will continue designing programs that meet the sector’s evolving needs and is preparing to launch a new series of specialized training initiatives.
