The Iraqi Private Banks League and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) have concluded the “Certified Expert in SME Finance” Training program, part of the “Strengthening Public Finances and Financial Markets” (FFM) project implemented by GIZ, with joint funding from the European Union and the German government, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq.
Over 75 bankers were trained across three sessions held over 30 days at the League’s training center, in collaboration with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, which provided the program’s content.
The program aimed to enhance the skills of banking employees and enable them to deliver advanced financial services that support small and medium enterprises, considered a cornerstone of sustainable economic growth.
